President's Cup
Twenty eight members competed for points in the President's Cup last Saturday, April 25 in an enjoyable afternoon of petanque. Guy Soubeyran was an outstanding best on the day. Arnaud Virassamy, Gilbert Baatard, Sue McAskill, John Exeter, and Al McDonell were also prize winners. Next Sunday, May 03, Subiaco Petanque Club will host the state veterans' Triples competition. Visitors are welcome on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

Guy Soubeyran Singles tournament
Club members competed for the Singles trophy in honour of life member Guy Soubeyran last Saturday, April 18 in an enjoyable afternoon of pétanque. Julieth Bebero won the ladies trophy with runners up Sylvia Baatard and Marion Meacock. The men's competition was won by Gilbert Baatard with Rob Dunlop and Arnaud Virassamy runners up. Next Saturday, April 25, another round of the President's Cup will be held. Visitors are welcome on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

Thirty one members competed for points in the President's Cup last Saturday, April 11 in an enjoyable afternoon of pétanque. Emma Isliker was the best on the day. Nick Siciliano, Ravin Parianen, Arnaud Virassamy, Gilbert Baatard, and Kurt Isliker were also prize winners. Next Saturday, March 18, life member Guy Soubeyran will be honoured with a singles tournament, open to all club members. Visitors are welcome on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

Cyclone Narelle brought a lot of welcome rain to Perth on Saturday March 28. However this flooded the pistes of the petanque club, so that no competition play was possible in the President's Cup. Twilight Triples
Subiaco Petanque Club hosted the open Twilight Triples last Saturday, February 14. with eleven teams competing. Congratulations to club member Suren Appadoo who was in the second placed team. Christmas Party
The club held the annual Christmas Dinner last Saturday, December 13. Thirty three members enjoyed a festive meal together wonderfully prepared by Val and Julie. Members donated gifts for Vickram's family who we sadly lost during the year. A few keen players enjoyed pétanque under lights after dinner. A final round of the President's Cup for the year will be held next Saturday, December 20. Visitors are welcome on Saturdays and Wednesdays .

Guy Meunier Trophy
Members celebrated the contribution of Guy Meunier to the pétanque club last Saturday, November 22, when members competed for the memorial Trophies. The winning men's team comprised Guy Soubeyran, Marek Glinski and John Beamish. The team of Emma Isliker and Marion Meacock won the ladies trophy. The club will hold another round of the President's Cup next Saturday, November 29. Visitors are welcome on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
