Last Saturday, January 24, a large contingent of members enjoyed the pleasant weather in an afternoon of social petanque.  There will be another round of the President's Cup at the club next Saturday, January 31 at the summer starting time of 4pm.. Visitors are welcome on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

The mild start to summer continued for another round of the President's Cup last Saturday, January 17, when thirty four players vied for points. This day was also marked with a BBQ meal after play. Gilbert Baatard  was the day's winner. John Exeter, Joe Celicia, Paul Hinks, Val Gridley and Ian Russell-Brown were also prize winners. There will be social play at the club next Saturday, January 24. Visitors are welcome on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

The club held the annual Christmas Dinner last Saturday, December 13. Thirty three members enjoyed a festive meal together wonderfully prepared by Val and Julie. Members donated gifts for Vickram's family who we sadly lost during the year. A few keen players enjoyed pétanque under lights after dinner. A final round of the President's Cup for the year will be held next Saturday, December 20. Visitors are welcome on Saturdays and Wednesdays .

Last Saturday, November 29, twenty-nine members vied for points in  the President's Cup in glorious spring weather. Peter Cheyne won the day with new member Sue McAskill a close second. Sylvia Baatard, Gilbert Baatard, George Wright, Gordon Wilczynski and Suren Appadoo were also prize winners. Members celebrated the contribution of Guy Meunier to the pétanque club last Saturday, November 22, when members competed for the memorial Trophies. The winning men's team comprised Guy Soubeyran, Marek Glinski and John Beamish. The team of Emma Isliker and Marion Meacock won the ladies trophy.  The club will hold another round of the President's Cup next Saturday, November 29. Last Saturday, November 15, twenty six members vied for points in  the President's Cup in glorious spring weather. Sylvia Baatard won the day with John Exeter, Rajiv Sanashee, Michel Pons, Nick Siciliano and visitor Steven from France also prize winners. On Sunday, the state singles competition was held at Subiaco and club members performed well with Avinash Ramjuttan, Julieth Bebero, Sylvia Baatard and Megan Cheyne gaining places in the finals. Last Saturday, November 08, club members and visitors enjoyed an afternoon of social pétanque. On Sunday, the annual interclub pétanque competition was held with four teams per club comprising ladies singles, mixed doubles mixed triples and men's triples. The Subiaco club managed a very competitive third place. The club will hold another round of the President's Cup next Saturday, November 15. Visitors are welcome on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

Subiaco Pétanque Club filled last weekend November 01 and 02 with competitors. On Saturday, twenty-nine members vied for points in the President's Cup in glorious spring weather.
