Subiaco Pétanque Club members enjoyed social play last Saturday March 07 despite the return of hot and humid conditions. Several members competed in the open triples event at Bayswater Pétanque Club on Sunday March 08. Congratulations to Avinash Ramjuttan from Subiaco Club who was in the winning team. Next Saturday, March 14, there will be another round of the President's Cup played for members and visitors. Visitors are welcome on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

Guy Soubeyran, Suren Appadoo, Rob Dunlop, Ravin Parianen, and Gilbert Baatard were also prize winners. Next Saturday, March 07, members and visitors are invited for social play. Subiaco Petanque Club hosted the open Twilight Triples last Saturday, February 14. with eleven teams competing. Congratulations to club member Suren Appadoo who was in the second placed team. Twelve other club members represented our club in a strong tournament. Next Saturday, February 21, there will be an open day from 8 am during the morning, hosted by Community Connect Expo. Pétanque Australia is pleased to advise Subiaco Pétanque Club has been selected to host the 2026 Interstate Challenge on 29 & 30 August.

Last Saturday, January 24, a large contingent of members enjoyed the pleasant weather in an afternoon of social petanque.  There will be another round of the President's Cup at the club next Saturday, January 31 at the summer starting time of 4pm.. Visitors are welcome on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

The mild start to summer continued for another round of the President's Cup last Saturday, January 17, when thirty four players vied for points. This day was also marked with a BBQ meal after play. Gilbert Baatard  was the day's winner. John Exeter, Joe Celicia, Paul Hinks, Val Gridley and Ian Russell-Brown were also prize winners. The start to summer has been very kind to us,  including last Saturday, January 03, when thirty three players vied for points in  the President's Cup. The club held the annual Christmas Dinner last Saturday, December 13. Thirty three members enjoyed a festive meal together wonderfully prepared by Val and Julie. Members donated gifts for Vickram's family who we sadly lost during the year. A few keen players enjoyed pétanque under lights after dinner. A final round of the President's Cup for the year will be held next Saturday, December 20. Visitors are welcome on Saturdays and Wednesdays .

Members celebrated the contribution of Guy Meunier to the pétanque club last Saturday, November 22, when members competed for the memorial Trophies. The winning men's team comprised Guy Soubeyran, Marek Glinski and John Beamish. The team of Emma Isliker and Marion Meacock won the ladies trophy.  The club will hold another round of the President's Cup next Saturday, November 29. Visitors are welcome on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
